Project to supplement new sidewalks, benches, bike racks, trees and walking lighting

OAK RIDGE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) Commissioner John Schroer currently announced a scarcely $800,000 extend to renovate Jackson Square in Oak Ridge.

The $798,687 travel encouragement extend is for Phase we of a Jackson Square Townsite Reconfiguration Project, that includes vital modifications to a parking lot on Broadway Avenue.

“Through Transportation Enhancement grants, TDOT has saved some-more than $270 million in non-traditional travel projects,” Schroer said.  “This module has assisted communities all over a state in their efforts to reanimate downtowns, prominence ancestral areas, yield choice means of transportation, and boost opportunities for mercantile development.”
